alovethingIt's been brought to my attention that an "author" over on fanfiction.net has been plagiarising one of my stories, doing a find/replace on the names & genders and claiming it as her own. And not just any story, but my reinventing 'love verse. This story is my pride and joy, my BABY, and this seriously is hurting my heart.
The person in question is WhatEverHappened on FF.net, and she seems to have taken a lot of the 'verse.
She took tell them we're like magnets and turned it into "Eye to Eye". Parts of waste our weeks and stuffed became "To the End".
Her A/N on the magnets rip-off: "A/N: Soooo remember how I wasn't going to do a sequel to Say it Ain't So that was a linear story? Yeah, I lied. This is set when they go to college and pretty much up until the summer after their freshman year. I have it all planned out and I'm super excited for it so the chances of me losing interest are like, zero."
Yeah, because I already wrote it.
Love 'verse is over 200,000 words and I've been working on it for almost four years, and to just see someone jack it and mangle it and call it their own, well. It really sucks. So if you want to go leave this self-proclaimed author a nice little "review", I really wouldn't mind. I've always wanted to be part of an angry mob. Here's even a handy dandy clicky link to leave a review.
Nothing like this has ever happened to me before, and for it to be my favorite thing I've ever written just makes me heartsick. She seems to have stolen a few really good stories from the SPN fandom, and this just can't stand.
Any advice on where to go from here would be greatly appreciated. Maybe an email to reportabuse@fanfiction.com?
