Time for a quick and dirty little state of the pups since I also want to be more active in the game! I haven't been doing so great, but summer is a historically awful time for me for work and health reasons, so I am hoping things will get better with the changing of the seasons.

Okay, in order from oldest to newest to the best of my memory (which is Bad):

Rapunzel - Tangled

In my head, Rapunzel is doing pretty okay! She had it pretty rough after losing Peter, but she took her time to grieve and is healing from that. She focused hard on her business during this time and opened a storefront, aptly named Fates' Designs, where she sells clothing and accessories that she makes. She is still also taking commissions, and is available or any dressmaking or tailoring needs.

She has been dating Keys and they're taking it kind of slow, both because she's still healing and because I haven't been as active as I'd like to be, but she really cares for him and has a lot of fun with him. She'll be bummed that summer is ending, because she and I are opposites. Otherwise I have no big plans for her. She's in a pretty good spot.

Elio Perlman - Call Me by Your Name

Elio is always kind of messy and dramatic, and that's part of what makes him so interesting to play. I don't think that he'll ever feel fully settled in Darrow, because he's too big of a fish for such a small pond, but that doesn't mean that he's unhappy. He'll just always be a little restless.

He's become something of a celebrity in Darrow due to his music career, which has devoted a lot more of his time to since graduating college. He released his debut album and enjoys running the bookshop. In writing this, I realized that it's time for him to stop performing at the piano bar. Realistically, this would have happened some time ago, but I'm making it official now. He's going to quit and focus on his own music. I see him performing around Darrow for awhile and then eventually teaching music. He doesn't know that he wants to be a teacher yet, but it'll come to him.

Despite his ennui, Elio is overall content and remains one of my loudest voices. He and Oliver have settled after their big shake up, and Elio has been dropping hints about wanting to be married again. I am sure these are not at all subtle. Oliver is a very patient man.

Steve Harrington - Stranger Things

I am so delighted with Steve's trajectory in Darrow. His character growth in the show is one of my favorite things and I was so glad to continue that in Darrow. He's surrounded himself with people that he actually likes, and has stopped caring so much about what people who don't even matter think of him. He's come a long way, and he still has so far to go.

He moved into a house by the lake (in my head, it's the house formerly occupied by Elio, whom Steve is good friends with) with Maeve, Robin, and Rue, and is still taking classes at the community college. He wants to eventually become a social worker, or something in that vein that has him working with kids. Sometimes I think about having him revive the day camp that I made up when I played Jack, because I think that'd be good for him, too. He's still assistant manager at Phoenix Records, where he, Eddie, and occasionally Robin get up to hijinx that would put Empire Records to shame.

It's coming on three years of being with Maeve, and he knows that she's it for him. Talking about the future hasn't always gone so well for them, so I think trying to do so might freak him out a little bit, but he wants to be with her forever. Overall, he's pretty happy!

Klaus Hargreeves - The Umbrella Academy

It's kind of wild to me that Klaus is arguably one of my most stable in Darrow, all things considering, but it's not without a lot of work. I'm kind of proud of Klaus because this is so not the direction that I thought he was going to go when I brought him in. He's just always been so determined to do better, both by himself and by everyone else, and I love that for him. A part of that definitely has to be attributed to his relationship with Obi-Wan, which is also something that I surely didn't imagine happening. Obi-Wan is a good influence on him and while Klaus will always be messy and a little eccentric, he's gotten a good handle on both his addictions and his powers.

He even has his own private detective business, Hauntr. What began as a way to exploit his powers for money quickly turned into something he actually cares about. He helps murder victims get justice and puts spirits to rest, and he feels pretty good about it. There are no big plans for him right now, but spooky season is coming up so I am sure that I will put him through some torment there.

Bucky Barnes - Marvel Cinematic Universe

Talk about another pup that took a very different path than I imagined. Bucky is among my pups least bothered by being stuck in Darrow, which I didn't expect. If he thinks abut it too much, he gets mad, but overall he tries not to think about it too much. He likes that no one is coming in and dragging him off to some big fight, and that he gets to make a home for himself and lay down his head in the same place every night.

He's been seeing Sylvie and Loki for just over a whole year now, and the situation works for all of them. Working him through him navigating such an unexpected and unconventional relationship has been a lot of fun. He has his animals, including two baby goats, and still makes a living as a handyman. I want to do a homeplot and/or an age swap with him soon, but otherwise he's pretty content to just keep living his life. No big plans for him.

Lee - Bones and All

Lee is my newest, and regrettably I have not done much with him yet. I apped him just before things started getting pretty rough for me, and I am hoping to do more with him now that I plan to be more active. For the time being, he's mostly been keeping to himself and getting a lay of the land.

As for his food source, I imagine a few folks involved in Darrow's seedy underbelly have gone missing, and maybe he's struck up some sort of deal with someone at the county morgue. I'm looking forward to doing stuff with him during the spooky season!

As for nebulous future plans, nothing official:

Prince Henry - Red, White, and Royal Blue

His pathetic baby girl ways compel me. I also love putting someone super well known in their world into Darrow and giving them a clean slate. Chances of me apping him are kind of high right now, but I would love if someone else wanted to bring Alex. It's hard to app one half of a solid duo, and that's really the only thing holding me back.

Nick Nelson - Heartstopper

I could either adopt a golden retriever puppy or app Nick Nelson, and dogs are a lot of work. He's a bisexual, half French teenage boy with daddy issues. That checks literally all of my boxes and I love him, but as stated above, he'd be so sad without Charlie that it's holding me back.
